• Group Strategy Office

The Group Strategy Office is a diverse internal consulting practice that is responsible for promoting brand development and ensuring a robust strategy cycle across the Mahindra Group. In addition to leading corporate outreach and serving as a sounding board for the Group Executive Board, the GSO is focused towards an active promotion of best practices and collaborations across the organization.



Specifically, the GSO is split into the following departments:


  1. The Office of Strategy Management reviews Group company strategies, performance, and provides strategic insights for its internal clients;
  2. The Performance Management Team provides analytical support for the annual Mahindra War Room planning cycles;
  3. The Agricultural Research Team develops market intelligence for our Farm Equipment Sector and its related Group companies;
  4. The Centre for Rural Research and Insights oversees Mahindra’s operations and product offerings for India’s domestic rural customer segment;
  5. The Innovation Centre of Excellence promotes a culture of innovation throughout the Mahindra Group through workshops, mentorship, and events;
  6. The Africa Desk unites Mahindra Group companies to develop Mahindra product and service offerings for Africa on a pan-Group level;
  7. The Corporate Brand Council oversees Group-wide branding initiatives, and promotes the Rise campaign;
  8. The Cultural Outreach team connects Mahindra with its stakeholders through cultural initiatives, which includes the Mahindra Blues Festival, amongst others; and
  9. The Mahindra Racing team promotes the development of India’s first MotoGP team.


The GSO forms the focal point of the entire program, as a platform for the period of Global Recruits’ time with the Mahindra Group, and as a classroom for Recruits’ professional development while on the job. During the Global Recruits’ tenure at Mahindra, they will be exposed to projects and development opportunities across several of these areas as a means to ensure a breadth of experience.
