Mahindra Global Recruit 2014

Sector/Company:  I work with our IT services company Tech Mahindra. As part of the Strategic Initiatives team, I work on products for the professional video gaming and live streaming space.

Career Goals: Quite frankly, I don’t have any specific career goals as of now. I want to spend my career in different places around the world, working on a number of different issues. At some point down the line, owning my own business sounds like a great prospect.
Interests/Hobbies: I very much enjoy playing football, skiing and rock climbing. I also try to go backpacking as often as I can. Food and wine are hobbies too, as well as discussing politics, philosophy and religion.
What were doing before you joined Mahindra?
Before joining Mahindra, I studied political science and economics at Brown Universities. I spent my summers interning at a bank, a consulting company and the US Senate. Before coming to college in the US, I served a mandatory term in the Austrian military and interned in the European Parliament.
Why did you decide to join Mahindra?
In my senior year of college, I was deciding between joining Mahindra and taking a finance position with a bank in New York. I decided to join Mahindra for two main reasons. Firstly, Mahindra greatly impressed me as a company and I believed that I could learn a great deal more there than at most other organizations. Secondly, I am not entirely sure which industry I want to end up in and the Global Recruit Program is a great way to get a taste of a few different ones.
What has been your favorite experience so far in India?
Playing football under the lights while being drenched in the heavy Mumbai monsoon rains.
